Duxbury Bay Maritime School seeks to connect people of all ages, abilities and means to Duxbury Bay. We are looking forward to the 2025 summer season, and we are excited to share both our educational and recreational programs with the South Shore and beyond! Our flagship sailing, rowing and marine science programs will return, led by trained and dedicated staff members. While some of our classes are full, there are still spaces available in select weeks in varying activities! DBMS provides top-notch instruction and guidance to try new things and step out of your comfort zone in a safe and supportive environment.
New this year are stackable classes, to maximize your time on the Bay! We have tailored scheduled activities (think Sailing plus Marine Science) to flow nicely from one to the next, making it easier for both kids and parents to build a full day at DBMS. Our full day Maritime Adventures program still has limited spots in some weeks! We are also working to further expand our adaptive sailing, rowing and paddlesports offerings for participants with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. There is something for everyone, and there’s nothing more gratifying than bringing in new students so they can experience everything the Bay can teach us.
Our most anticipated weekend of the year, Opening of the Bay, will take place May 23rd-24th! It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the beginning of the summer season on campus, and support the mission of DBMS. Saturday is Family Day, and is always a local highlight. The campus will bustle with bouncy houses, live music, boat rides, arts & crafts, food trucks, vendors & more. Please join us for a class, event, or both this summer!
