Middle School and High School Van Camp - Rather than staying cooped up in a facility or doing the same traditional camp activities day in and day out, participants meet up in Norwell, then head out on an enriching adventure of thematic, educational, and fun day trips in a variety of locations- from Boston to Cape Cod to Southern New Hampshire. We watch the weather closely, and send a detailed schedule to families every Sunday.
8 weeks of weekly onsite summer programs are also available for the younger crowd. But like van camps, these are not your typical camps.
Survivor - Join a tribe and dive into the wild Accord Center twist on Survivor. Every day will be a different set of survival skills, challenges with games and puzzles, and searches for hidden idols. Children will work together to build and create, overcome obstacles, accumulate points, and win idols, all while learning important life skills. The final tribal council will end with a reward to all tribe members, based on the points they earned. This reward will include a trip to a nearby fun spot (such as Tree Top Adventures, Boda Borg, or other Survivor-like places) and food.
Grow & Create - Build, cook, grow, create, and taste! These weeks will reach all of the senses and give kids the opportunities to plant and care for the gardens, build structures within the garden and to bring home, cook with produce grown in the garden, and explore different types of art. Every day will have snacks that they cook for themselves and a wide variety of games. Fridays will include a trip to a local farm and gallery.
Explorers - Explore inside and out at the Accord Center! Go for walks along our trail to look for different types of life in the woods, the stream, and the pond. Kids will even have the opportunity to try their hand at fishing in the pond. They will be able to build forts and practice using a compass. And just to get a break from the hot summer days, we will go inside and explore the world through STEAM activities and challenges, including making chain reactions, designing different vehicles, and finding ways to float the gnome! Every day will also have games and crafts. Fridays will include a trip to Blue Hills for hiking, visits to the animals, and lunch.
Imagination - Enter a world of pure imagination! Kids will imagine worlds that they can build with Legos or in Minecraft, design magical maps, write and direct short films, create their own comics, and explore the fantastical worlds of stories and myth. They may even have time to make costumes and props for their films or a play. And if they are interested in music, they can bring their instruments to the Center. There will also be games throughout the day. Fridays will include a trip to a location like the Museum of Illusions, Level 99, or other imaginative places.
